SUMMARY
The Lead Clinical Data Analyst will play a crucial role in supporting the Medical Affairs team by compiling and analyzing clinical data, generating insights, and contributing to the development of evidence-based strategies. This role will work cross-functionally with both internal stakeholders across the organization and external collaborators to generate data insights for conference presentations, scientific publications and commercial messaging. This role requires a deep understanding of clinical data, strong analytical skills, and the ability to communicate complex findings effectively. This individual will be a quick learner who thrives in a high growth environment and is passionate about shortening the diagnostic odyssey for patients through data.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive data analyses to support scientific research, conference presentations, and manuscript preparation.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including medical writers, clinical program managers, clinicians, and researchers, to support ongoing projects and initiatives.
- Generate detailed reports and visualizations to communicate complex findings in a clear and concise manner to internal stakeholders, including healthcare providers, researchers, and executives.
- Co-develop the data analysis strategy for clinical research studies and commercial messaging, including data collection, analysis, and interpretation of results.
- Develop and maintain data pipelines and workflows to ensure data integrity and reproducibility.
- Ensure the accuracy, integrity, and security of clinical data by implementing best practices in data management and quality control and ensure analyses comply with relevant regulatory guidelines and standards.
- Develop and maintain data governance policies and procedures to ensure data quality, consistency, and security across the organization.
- Stay current with the latest advancements in genetic testing and data science methodologies.
- Utilize advanced statistical and computational methods to analyze genetic and clinical data.
Qualifications:
- PhD in Data Science, Bioinformatics, Biostatistics, Genetics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in clinical data analysis, preferably in the genetic testing or healthcare industry.
- Proficiency in statistical software and programming languages such as R, Python, and SQL.
- Strong understanding of genetic data and clinical research methodologies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail in data analysis and reporting.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex data to diverse audiences.
- Proven track record of contributing to scientific publications and conference presentations.
- Experience with data visualization tools and techniques.
- Knowledge of data privacy and security best practices.
Preferred:
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements and standards in genetic testing and clinical research.
- Experience in developing and implementing data governance policies and procedures.
- Experience using cloud-based data warehouse platforms such as Snowflake or equivalent.
- Experience with machine learning and artificial intelligence applications in healthcare.
