Department Summary:
The Center for Health Policy has three pillars: Research, Education and Community. These pillars are underpinned by health equity, the translation of research into policy and the practical and effective implementation of policies related to health. The Center focuses particularly but not exclusively on three broad areas: Telementoring & Workforce Development, Rural Health and Whole Health.
Position Overview:
Within the Center for Health Policy are multiple projects and programs related to infectious disease. This role will provide oversight of these projects/programs to ensure operational coordination and efficiency and facilitate their sustainability and expansion.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree and five (5) years related experience; or any equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to understand general business principles.
- Ability to be a strong, clear communicator by oral and written means.
- Ability to interact with a wide range of professional colleagues from tenured researchers to students to entrepreneurs.
- Ability to be highly organized and have the ability to work towards deadlines.
- Ability to develop new procedures and present to others about those processes.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Background in population health, health outcomes, chronic disease prevention research or programs.
- Expertise and experience in training and technical assistance.
- Expertise and experience with management of large multisite, expansive geographic location, multiple collaborative projects and programs.
- Fiscal budget management experience.

Job Duties:
- Management and oversight of training and technical assistance.
- Management and oversight of telementoring activities.
- Event management.
- Writing products including but not limited to reports, conference abstracts, journal manuscripts and grant applications.
- Collaborative partner specific outreach and interaction.
- Promotion activities including but not limited to presentations and communications via electronic mail and social media.
- Budget management.
