FoodChain ID, Inc. is expanding its Testing team in the USA. Founded in 1996, with headquarters in Fairfield, Iowa, and offices worldwide, our mission is to support sustainable and socially responsible food production through certification, technical solutions, and testing services.
About the Role: As a Laboratory Technician I, you will play a crucial role in our daily operations, ensuring that our customers receive accurate and timely test results. You will work in either the DNA testing or sample preparation laboratory, collaborating with team members to meet our quality system requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute all aspects of daily business operations in the laboratory.
- Prepare and process customer samples for analytical testing according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
- Perform DNA extraction, UV/Vis Spectroscopy, qPCR, ELISA, and GLP.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure equipment calibration and verification.
- Assist in resolving any anomalies and ensure traceability through all procedures.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a scientific field.
- 1-2+ years of laboratory experience.
- Familiarity with ISO17025 accreditation.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-based environment.

Position Details:
- Full-time position with a 40-hour workweek.
- Laboratory hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. EST; Saturday, 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. EST.
- Some flexibility in scheduling is permitted.
