The Director of EAMG Clinics, Diabetes and Nutrition Center oversees multiple physician practices/operations within the East Alabama Medical Group, in addition to the diabetes and nutrition programs at East Alabama Health. The role provides leadership and works with colleagues by providing supervision and direction around practice operations. This role ensures patient access, financial performance, efficient operations, effective growth, colleague development, and optimal patient experience takes place. Responsibilities of this position include maintaining certification and licensure to deliver diabetes and nutrition services and oversight of EAH’s Neurology, Pulmonology and Endocrinology clinics.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Directs the operations of multiple EAMG clinic sites and outpatient diabetes and nutrition center at East Alabama Health.
- Plans, develops, implements and directs the day-to-day functions of multiple clinics and activities to ensure compliance, efficiency, and patient satisfaction.
- Accountable for the development of fiscal budget for assigned areas.
- Provides oversight and direction to ensure the achievement of strategic, operational and financial goals.
- Oversees the Diabetes Disease Specific Care Council to maintain TJC Advanced Inpatient Diabetes certification and accreditation status of outpatient diabetes programs.
- Achieves and maintains competencies dependent upon licensure and certification requirements held by discipline.
- Provides timely guidance to address problems and identify opportunities.
- Meets regularly with providers and staff to review financial performance and key performance indicators.
- Develops strategies to increase referral sources and continual growth within the Medical Group.
- Manages and influences relationships with clinic managers, physicians and staff to achieve best in practice performance and business results.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, management, health administration, or related field.
- Master's degree or equivalent graduate work preferred.
- Five (5) years leadership experience in practice management, including multi-site group management, or relevant clinical operations.
- Eight (8) years leadership experience with managing multiple providers in multi-site, multi-specialty environments preferred.
