RN Weekend Warrior Rate: $33.00 ($33.00 -$35.00 depending on experience)

Work 12 hour shifts both Saturday and Sunday and receive an additional 8 hours pay.

Shift: Saturday and Sunday 7AM to 7:30PM

Responsibilities:

Work closely with RN Supervisor to ensure best possible functions of assigned unit
Consults and coordinates with health care team members to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care plans.
Prepares, administers and records prescribed medications.
Records patients' medical information and vital signs.
Assesses the patients' ability to do routine daily tasks.
Recognizes and manages geriatric syndromes common to older adults, including:

cardiovascular
respiratory
gastrointestinal
urinary
hematological
musculoskeletal
endocrine
neurological
psychiatric/psychosocial
integumentary
sensory
pain problems.

Prepares equipment and aids physician during examination and treatment of patient. Communicates with family members regarding patient. Records all care information concisely, accurately and completely, in a timely manner, in the appropriate format and on the appropriate forms. Performs other position-related duties as assigned, depending on assignment setting.

Qualifications:

Degree from an accredited school of nursing.
Current and valid license as a Registered Nurse in the state of New York required.
Minimum of 1-year RN experience required.
Must have strong assessment skills as well as interpersonal skills.
Education or experience in long term care or geriatric nursing is preferred.
Must be flexible, punctual, professional, and reliable.
Strong customer service skills and compassion.
