Job Description
POSTDOCTORAL ASSOCIATE, MIT Energy Initiative (MITEI), to assume a position in energy and environmental economics analysis. Will work with Professor Christopher R. Knittel on research related to energy and environmental economics, including topics such as the impact of aircraft noise on real estate values, consumer preferences in transportation, and the value of environmental amenities. Responsibilities may include preparing data for analysis, carrying out data analysis, and presenting research results.
Job Requirements
REQUIRED: Ph.D. or equivalent international degree in economics, finance, or related field; strong empirical economics research skills; programming experience; English language proficiency; excellent communication, presentation, and technical writing skills; and self-motivation. PREFERRED: demonstrated interest in research focusing on energy and environmental economics and industrial organization. Job #23350
This position is a full-time, one-year appointment, with the possibility of extension depending on project funding and satisfactory work.
