RESPONSIBLE COALITION FOR RESILIENT COMMUNNITIES (RCRC) was the result of increased need for effective last mile service delivery and providing grassroots insights to the government on relief actions in light of the Covid-19 pandemic. VISION: Envision an India where civil society participates and collaborates with Samaj, Sarkar, Bazaar, and Sanchar to build an inclusive, equitable, and just future for and with marginalized communities. MISSION: Build an inclusive and competent platform for CSOs and Samaj, Sarkar, Bazaar, and Sanchar to collaborate and act together for constructive actions for enabling marginalised communities to shape and control their destinies. RCRC promotes inclusive development through NGO capacity building, evidence-based policy influence & big tent approach. NGOs: The Coalition was initiated by 7 CSO leaders, and currently represents over 96 CSOs with presence across most states.

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced development professional to join our team in the role of National Project Lead. In this role, you will be responsible for providing strategic leadership and coordination for national projects closely aligned with the objectives of the National Rural Livelihoods
Mission (NRLM), and that of RCRC. You will play a pivotal role in driving the project’s success, ensuring effective collaboration with NRLM and other stakeholders, such as SRLMs on the one hand, and RCRC member organizations on the other hand thereby contributing to our joint overall mission of empowering rural community.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Planning:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive strategic plan for the national project, aligning it with the goals and objectives of NRLM, and RCRC
- Ensure that the project’s objectives are in line with NRLM’s overarching mission to enhance rural livelihoods.
- Ensure project’s objectives and processes contribute to overall vision & mission of RCRC.
2. Stakeholder Engagement:
- Foster strong relationships with Ministry of Rural Development, NRLM and government other ministries, departments, NITI Aayog, ICAR, CSIR and other research organizations, CSOs, Donor agencies, media, and other relevant stakeholders.
- Collaborate closely with NRLM officials to ensure seamless integration and coordination of efforts.
- Build strong & productive relationships with CSOs in all states, specially with RCRC members.
3. Project Leadership:
- Provide overall leadership and direction to the project team, ensuring alignment with NRLM’s strategies and priorities.
- Monitor project activities, budgets, and timelines to achieve key milestones and deliverables.
4. Capacity Building:
- Identify capacity gaps within the team and implement strategies for skill development and knowledge enhancement.
- Facilitate training programs to build the capacity of project staff and partners.
5. Monitoring and Evaluation:
- Establish a robust monitoring and evaluation framework to track project progress and impact.
- Regularly review and analyze project data to inform decision-making and make necessary adjustments to the project plan.
6. Documentation:
- Prepare and submit regular reports to NRLM and other relevant stakeholders, highlighting achievements, challenges, and recommendations.
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation of project activities and outcomes.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s degree in a relevant field with minimum of 15 years of experience (e.g., Rural Development, Social Sciences, Management).
- Proven experience in leading and managing national-level projects, preferably in the context of rural development or livelihood enhancement.
- Strong understanding of NRLM’s goals and strategies.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Experience in monitoring and evaluation of development projects.
- Knowledge of government policies and programs related to rural development.
