Position: Bilingual Preferred Clinician (Spanish/English)

Position Description
FSMV is currently hiring a Fee For Service and/or full-time Bilingual-preferred Mental Health Clinician (Spanish/English) to work at its expanding Counseling Center in Lawrence. The ideal candidate will be independently licensed in Massachusetts and want to work with clients ranging in age from childhood to adulthood. FSMV’s Mental Health Clinic is licensed by the Department of Public Health and serves clients with a wide range of diagnoses. Our Daycare and School Outreach Team serves children aged 4 through 18 in school in daycare centers in the Greater Lawrence Area.
General Duties and Responsibilities
The Clinician shall perform intakes, screening, and assessments as well as TOPS and CANS to clients from a variety of backgrounds. Clinicians are expected to meet productivity goals, commit to working at least two nights per week and maintain updated clinical records for assigned clients. In addition, clinicians are expected to participate in agency and Clinic meetings, and maintaining relationships with community partners and collaterals.
Specific Responsibilities
- Provide skilled individual treatment for a diagnostically diverse mental health caseload of adults and children, including CANS and other assessments as needed.
- Provide school-based individual therapy.
- Engage in peer review of cases with clinical staff.
- Maintain familiarity with community resources in order to assist the client. May coordinate an assigned program, e.g. adoption, bilingual, substance abuse, protective service, family life education program.
- Responsible for clinical data entry into EMR.
- Provide consultation and teaching to individuals, institutions, other agencies, business or disciplines.
- Provide Employee Assistance Program (EAP) services including assessments and short-term counseling, and on a rare occasion, deliver a presentation and/or training and to a portfolio of EAP client companies.
Requirements
- Successful completion of the requirements for a Master's Degree with an emphasis on clinical practice from an accredited program of social work, clinical or counseling psychology or psychiatric nursing.
- Licensed by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, to practice as a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) or Licensed Mental Health Clinician (LMHC) is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated cultural competence with an ability to work with diverse populations, within the community and with agency staff members.
- Bilingual Spanish/English are strongly encouraged to apply.
- Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel and Outlook as well as EMR system familiarity.
- Ability to work two weekday evenings until 7:00pm per week is required.
