We are seeking a full-time Patient Services Specialist to work at our Orthopedics Specialist Clinic located at the Providence Professional Plaza in NE Portland. You will work with exceptional physicians who value their team and working together to help our patients get the best possible care.
Our busy practice receives a high volume of patient appointments and calls, and we are searching for an experienced candidate with a friendly demeanor, great positive attitude, and customer-focused work ethic. The ideal candidate has 1-3 years of prior medical front office experience, has excellent communication skills, and has the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Primary duties include:
- Welcoming and greeting patients
- Collecting co-pays
- Obtaining and completing insurance information
- Answering phones
- Scheduling new and existing patient appointments
- Registration and patient check-in/check-out
- Scanning, updating records, and other duties as assigned
Workdays will be Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm.
Hiring pay based on open position, experience, and credentials:
Level I - $18.33- $24.81 per hour.
Level II - $20.17 - $27.29 per hour.
Level III - $22.18 - $30.01 per hour.
Placement within levels based on specialty group, experience, additional duties.
Medical, Vision, and Rx Insurance is 100% paid for by The Oregon Clinic for full-time employees.
Qualifications:
- Medical front office experience preferred
- Prior EMR experience strongly preferred; EPIC experience a plus!
- Excellent phone skills and customer service skills
- Exceptional attendance and work ethic
- Positive attitude and desire to be a team player
- Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with patients, staff and providers
