The Divisions of General Pediatrics and Pediatric Neurology at the University of Utah School of Medicine has an immediate opening for full-time, Developmental Pediatrician. The Developmental Pediatrician will provide direct outpatient neurodevelopmental clinical care in the University Developmental Assessment Clinics (UDAC) including the Child Development Program, and in the Division of Pediatric Neurology. This position will work closely with a multidisciplinary team including developmental pediatricians and nurse practitioners, speech language pathologists, occupational and physical therapists, registered nurses, psychologists, and pediatric neurologists to provide assessments and diagnosis to children who have or are at high risk for developmental problems, and neurological care. Clinical activities will be carried out at both Primary Children’s Hospital locations in Salt Lake City and Lehi, UT, and Primary Children’s Outpatient Services Center in Salt Lake City, UT. In addition to clinical service, there is an expectation for academic work including education, investigation, and administration, as well as advocacy for children with special health care needs.
Qualifications:
Qualified candidates must be Board Eligible or Board Certified in Neurodevelopmental Pediatrics and must have experience in the care of, assessment, and treatment of children and adolescents, preferably with developmental disabilities and neurodevelopmental conditions. An academic appointment commensurate with level of experience will be provided by the University of Utah.
