Locum Tenens Emergency Medicine Physician Opportunity
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Emergency Medicine Physician to provide locum tenens coverage in a busy emergency department. This position offers a great opportunity to practice in a collaborative environment with a diverse patient population, including pediatric cases.
- Position: Locum Tenens Emergency Medicine Physician
- Volume: 20,000 annual patient volume, with 10-15% pediatric cases
- Shift Coverage:
- 24 hours of physician coverage
- 12 hours of Advanced Practice Provider coverage
- Treatment Rooms: 12 private treatment rooms for optimal patient care
Requirements:
- Board Certification:
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine (MD or DO)
- EM residency-trained physicians required
- Certifications:
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification required
- Skills:
- Strong communication skills
- Expertise in the evaluation and management of acute medical emergencies
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-stress environment
- Sound judgment and decision-making capabilities during emergencies
Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality care to a diverse patient population, managing acute medical emergencies and ensuring the best possible outcomes
- Collaborate with a team of physicians, nurses, and advanced practice providers to ensure comprehensive patient care
- Maintain excellent communication with staff and patients, ensuring all medical interventions are explained clearly and effectively
- Manage pediatric cases effectively, making quick, decisive medical evaluations and interventions when necessary
