The Emory University Faculty Staff Assistance Program (FSAP) and Office of Graduate Medical Education at the Emory School of Medicine (SOM) are recruiting for a full-time psychologist position dedicated to providing targeted behavioral mental health, education, and outreach services to the 1,450 medical residents and fellows in training at the Emory SOM.
The psychologist will provide direct clinical services, on-call coverage, psychoeducation and training, leadership consultations to residency program directors, community resource development, fitness-for-duty screenings, and program evaluation activities. The position occupies a key role on the interdisciplinary FSAP team dedicated to the facilitation of resident well-being at Emory and offers an opportunity to enhance the comprehensive, evidence-based approach in achieving this goal. The SOM has 121 residency and fellowship programs based in 21 academic medical departments and offers 7 residency tracks outside of general residency training. SOM residents and fellows represent a talented and diverse population of trainees from across Georgia, the Southeast region, national, and international locations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provides counseling and psychotherapy to meet the needs of a select population.
- Serves as a professional resource within the community.
- Performs related responsibilities as required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- A doctorate in counseling/clinical psychology and two years of psychological counseling experience.
- Licensed as a Psychologist or license eligible in Georgia.
