We are seeking a Psychologist to work in an out-patient clinic setting in Nashville, Tennessee. The Psychologist would work along with Therapists, Psychiatric Providers, and Psychiatrists to provide therapy services for patients suffering from depression, anxiety, eating disorders, marriage discord, bipolar disorder, ADHD, abuse and trauma, and other co-occurring disorders. The Therapist would enjoy a flexible schedule (including telemedicine on-site) as well as a very competitive salary; $130,000-$150,000+ Depending Upon Experience with a comprehensive benefits and PTO package as well as paid dues, fees, and licenses. Duties and Responsibilities
- Diagnoses or evaluates mental and emotional disorders of individuals and administers programs of treatment. Observes patients in various situations; selects, administers, and interprets intelligence, personality, or other psychological tests to diagnose disorders and formulate plans of treatment, and provides consultation to other mental health professionals with regard to test results.
- Treats psychological disorders to effect improved adjustments utilizing various psychological techniques; selects appropriate treatment approach and plans frequency, intensity, and duration of therapy.
- Assesses patient progress and modifies treatment programs accordingly; communicates with and counsels family members as appropriate.
Minimum Job Requirements
- Doctorate degree in Psychology.
- Certification|Licensure in the state of Tennessee, Licensed Psychologist, as documented.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required
- Knowledge of crisis intervention techniques.
- Ability to observe, assess, and record symptoms, reactions, and progress.
- Ability to effectively communicate medical information, test results, diagnoses and/or proposed treatment in a manner easily understood.
- Interviewing and psychological/developmental evaluation skills.
- Ability to evaluate the progress of therapeutic programs and to make individual modifications.
- Ability to use independent judgment and to manage and impart confidential information.
- Ability to assess mental status and to develop individual treatment goals and plans.
- Knowledge of psychological test administration, scoring, and interpretation.
- Ability to maintain emotional stability to cope with human suffering, emergencies, and other stresses.
- Must maintain any required continuing education requirements as dictated by state law.
- Skill in preparing and maintaining patient records.
