Radiology Associates of North Texas P.A. has an opening for a full time Physician Assistant practicing Diagnostic/Interventional radiology. The ideal candidate will have both pediatric and adult experience.
The position will start with a 4-6 month training program learning and working alongside our radiologists and APPs. Training length will vary based on experience. Once training has been completed, the PA will be working at Medical City Dallas and Cook Prosper. The schedule is Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm. There is no call, no nights, or weekends as part of this position.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform H&P’s, consents, pre/post procedural patient care
- Patient admissions, discharges, inpatient consults and follow-ups
- Diagnostic and vascular interventional radiology procedures (not all inclusive) including preliminary diagnostic interpretation reports, barium enemas, modified barium swallow studies, esophograms, upper GI series, arthrograms, lumbar punctures, gastric tube exchanges, thoracentesis, paracentesis.
Minimum Education, Certification, and Prior Experience Required:
- Master in Physician Assistant Studies or equivalent from an accredited program
- ACLS/BLS and PALS certification
- Current medical license (ideally Texas) in good standing without disciplinary action
- NCCPA board certification
