The part-time Clinical Support Specialist will contribute to the mission and vision of the Center, Center Health Care, and assigned practices. This position will be located two days per week at 700 South Pearl St. in Albany and one day a week at our Glenville location.
Responsibilities:
- Provide excellent customer service to patients and providers, perform multiple administrative support functions including billing, tracking of insurance/funding requirements, master scheduling for new evaluations, and daily appointments.
- Support clinicians with day-to-day monitoring and tracking of documentation, scheduling needs, and prior authorizations for service.
- Perform administrative support functions including confirmation calls, patient enrollment, scheduling and tracking of insurance requirements, managing practice incoming and outgoing calls, and customer service requests.
- Support clinical practice and providers in relation to lifting, transfers, assisting in clinical sessions, maintaining clinical space and equipment, equipment logs, and need for repairs and routine service. Responsible for overall cleanliness and organization of clinical space.
- Report to Director of Clinical Services.
Compensation for this position is $16.99- $19.73 per hour commensurate with experience.
Requirements:
- Associate Degree required or 2 years toward Bachelor’s Degree
- At least 3 years’ experience in a clinical therapy environment preferred
- Familiarity with insurance and medical billing, as well as scheduling in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR)
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to work independently
- Must be at least 18 years old to apply for this position
- Position requires routine lifting, bending, pushing, pulling in the course of handling files and supplies, and patients/equipment up to 75-150 lbs
