About the Company: Central Florida Communities, Inc. (CFC) has warm, welcoming, home-inspired facilities and programs for individuals with developmental disabilities in Orange, Brevard, Lake and Seminole Counties. CFC operates three 64-bed Intermediate Care Facilities for the Developmentally Disabled (ICF/DD's). As a member of our staff, you will provide vital around-the-clock care, which includes nursing and medical oversight, to our residents.
Facility Name: Lake View Court
Purpose: This position directly supports individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Responsibilities include assisting with everyday tasks such as ADLs, daily grooming, meal service, risk mitigation, and following behavioral management plans based on individual needs. You will utilize clinical nursing competency to observe, monitor, and provide care, treatment, and services to residents.
Responsibilities:
- Perform primary nursing duties for assigned residents/shift to ensure daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual nursing summaries in accordance with residents’ Active Treatment Plan.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments per State and clinical nursing standards, including receiving, transcribing, faxing orders to pharmacy, and entering orders in the electronic health record.
- Monitor the physical health of residents, relaying safety and health concerns to the Director of Nursing, physician, pharmacist, and other disciplines as needed.
Required Qualifications:
- Current license in the state of Florida.
- Ability to lift unassisted at least fifty (50) lbs.
Preferred Qualifications:
- At least six months of hospital or rehabilitation nursing experience preferred.
Salary/Hourly Rate: Starting at $35.00 per hour.
Working Conditions: Frequent bending, lifting, and standing.
