Position Summary: Provide light clinical and responsible administrative support at UNMC and VAMC for the clinical research activities of the division of DEM (Diabetes, Endocrinology and Metabolism).

Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required Education: High School education or equivalent (Will consider three years related post high school education/experience)
Required Experience: 3 years of experience related to healthcare, laboratory and/or clinical research (Will consider three years related post high school education/experience)
Required License: No
Required Computer Applications: Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word
Required Additional Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to accurately follow study protocol guidelines
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Attention to detail in completing paperwork and data entry in a timely fashion
- Ability to identify potential problems
Preferred Education: Relevant coursework/specialized training related to healthcare, laboratory and/or clinical research.
Preferred License: Yes (Phlebotomy certification, or willing to obtain)
Preferred Computer Applications: Microsoft Outlook
Preferred Other Computer Applications: Electronic Health Records
Preferred Additional Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Have prior phlebotomy experience or be willing to be trained
- Have experience in processing blood/serum labs (including shipping), or be willing to be trained
