Urgent Care has an immediate opening for a friendly, patient focused and detailed oriented Associate Patient Care Coordinator to join our team. Associate Patient Care Coordinator is responsible for the completion of set processes and protocols. Works cooperatively with all members of the care team to support the vision and mission of the organization, deliver excellent customer service and adhere to Lean processes. Supports the teams in meeting financial, clinical and service goals.
Schedule: Seven days a week, a 37.5-hour work week, between the hours of 6:50 am to 10:00 pm. (Monday 6:50 am to 10pm, Thursday 6:50 am to 10pm, Friday 6:50 am to 3pm most likely schedule, however subject to change) The schedule will be determined by the supervisor upon hire. May be asked to float to other clinics as needed.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Greets patients as they arrive and manage appropriate standard wait times
- Complete check-in and check-out tasks to include insurance verification, complete pre-authorizations and/or precertification of procedures, and copy required documents
- Collects co-payments, co-insurance, and deductibles and issues receipts
- Processes walk-in patients and visitors
- Answers phones and schedules appointments
- Answer telephone calls, re-direct calls as appropriate, assist callers with questions or concerns, and take messages as needed
- Manages medical records (maintains, files/scans, prepares for schedule)
- Prioritizing incoming calls
- Ensures all correspondence is scanned and/or filed, processes requests for medical records release and maintains appropriate logs, etc
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, employees, and the providers
- Schedules procedural appointments
- Performs all other related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma/GED (or higher)
- 1+ years of customer service or Healthcare related experience
- Intermediate level of proficiency with Microsoft office programs
- Ability to travel to other local offices as business requires (no further than 30 mins from home office)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of insurance carriers and managed care plans
- Epic experience
- 1+ years of experience in a Medical office
