Compensation Range: Anticipated Base compensation rate is in the range of $121,265.00 - $144,000.00 / Year depending on qualifications and experience.
Expectations:
Responsible for the direct supervision and development of Cardio Pulmonary Technicians, including but not limited to the immediate oversight of quality management, regulatory compliance and staff compliance with mandatory education. Will report, collaborate and help develop processes, policies and practices with the Department Manager. Supervise and coordinate daily assigned units within Pulmonary Services to meet the needs of patient and staff. Will monitor staff compliance with ongoing PI projects and their compliance with departmental and organizational policies and requirements. This position requires flexibility of hours.
EDUCATION:
Graduate of an accredited school by the National Board of Respiratory Care. Bachelor's Degree in Respiratory Therapy or related field required.
EXPERIENCE/TRAINING:
Minimum of 5 years of critical care and respiratory care experience, to include pulmonary function testing. 2 years of supervisory experience or training preferred. Demonstrated work experience that promotes team collaboration. Proven competency to utilize computer systems including Health Information System and Office applications (to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:
Required:
Current Respiratory Care Practitioner license (RCP) issued by the Respiratory Care Board of California.
Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential issued by the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC).
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider issued by American Heart Association.
Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support Provider (ACLS) issued by American Heart Association.
Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support Provider (PALS) issued by American Heart Association.
Current Registered Pulmonary Function Technologist (RPFT) credential issued by the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC).
Current National Institute for Occupational Safety & Health (NIOSH) Certification.
Preferred:
American Association of Respiratory Care (AARC) member.
COPD Educator Course certification.
SKILLS:
Knowledgeable in age-specific groups and ability to guide, teach, mentor and direct others. Knowledge of e-mail, database management, spreadsheet and word processor applications. Demonstrated knowledge of clinical protocols and practice management required in assigned areas. Utilize strong communication skills and effectively articulate and listen through an interactive style of leadership. Ability to practice effective working relationships and provide support to department personnel, healthcare team members and physicians.
