Physician Assistant (Surgery) Opportunity in Miami, Florida
We're looking for a surgical PA, willing to train. Compensation is competitive/negotiable, benefits include: paid holidays in the summer/end of the year, paid retirement plan, paid health insurance, paid CMEs and licensing fees. Schedule is based on a 5-day workweek with rotating weekends among the other surgeons/PAs. We currently have 2 surgeons and 2 PAs and we're planning on recruiting a third surgeon next year.
The PAs round in the hospital, see patients in the office, and assist in surgical procedures in the hospital. We're a very PA-friendly practice and have actually worked with the hospitals to increase the scope of practice that PAs are allowed to do (that they can't do at other hospitals!). We train them in documentation, procedures, and focus on constantly increasing their medical and surgical expertise.
Big selling point is that this practice has a wide reputation for teamwork and cooperation, mentorship, and a wide variety of surgical procedures - general surgery, vascular surgery, breast surgery, colorectal surgery, treating children & adults.
