Responsibilities
The Surgery Physician Assistant will work Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.; he or she will be on call 1-2 weeknights per week (there is additional pay for on-call schedule) and on weekend call 1-2 weekends per month (there is additional stipend pay for weekend call). Surgical specialties include but are not limited to general, vascular, colorectal, breast, plastics, OB, and robotics. This position will work in a variety of settings, including hospital, OR, and office. Grand View Hospital is located in Sellersville on Lawn Avenue; the GVSA office is located in the Grand View Sellersville outpatient centers, walking distance from the hospital. The Physician Assistant will be categorized as being on the Dependent Specified Professional Personnel Staff and will be subject to all definitions, privileges, and responsibilities found in the Medical Staff Bylaws and Rules and Regulations pertaining to that category. The physician assistant will assist in surgery under the direct supervision of the surgeon.
Qualifications
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Master's Degree graduate of an AMA-accredited Physician Assistant Program required.

- Strong OR presence and competency
- Robotic training is a plus, but will train
- Ability to adapt in an ever-changing environment
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills, required
- Strong verbal communication and listening skills, required
- Ability to work as part of a team, required
- Ability to maintain the strictest levels of confidentiality, required
- Ability to work effectively and efficiently under tight deadlines, high volumes, and multiple interruptions, required
- Quickly troubleshoots and resolves problems, required
- Possesses strong technical aptitude, required
- Competency in the use of a variety of computer hardware and software systems, required
- Meditech EMR experience a plus, but will train
LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS: Physician Assistant – Licensed, upon hire, required.
