Length: 13 weeks
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience
- BLS, ARRT, and IEMA
Position / Specialty: Radiation Therapist
Shift: 4×10 Days (0900-1930) – *Schedule will vary based on department and unit needs. Traveler will work 8 or 10hr shifts each week*
Avg. Daily Census: 30
Years of experience REQ: Minimum 2 years’ experience required.
First-timers accepted: No.
Certs REQ: BLS, ARRT, and IEMA IL license required.
Is on-call REQ? No.
Will clinician float within scope to meet facility needs? No.
Open to accommodating block schedule? Discuss schedule requests with manager.
Active IL license required or must have active application in process with ETA to apply.
RTO Restrictions: Ideally no more than 5 days.
Guaranteed Hours: Client may call-off up to 36 hours per thirteen week assignment without paying for the cancelled hours. If Client cancels more hours than permitted by this section, Client will be billed for any shifts or portions thereof cancelled in excess of this section. If Candidates are placed on-call in lieu of being called off, that will count as a called-off shift.
Special Requirements: Adult Outpatient experience required. Required Pretreatment skills/Experience: CT Simulation, Custom Molds, Custom Shield, Simulation of Treatment Sites, Tumor Localization. Required Treatment Skills/Experience: Benign Brain Tumors, Craniospinal, External Beam Therapy, Heterotopic Bone,IMRT – Intensity Modulated Radiotherapy, Keloids, Prostate Cancer with Seeds/Fiducials, Respiratory Gating, Stereotactic Radiosurgery, Superior Vena Cava. Required Provision of Treatment to patients with: Hodgkin’s Lymphoma, Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma, Kidney Cancer, Pancreatic Cancer, Testicular cancer. Required General Skills: Chart check, Emergency Cases, Field Shaping, IV starts, Lift/Transfer devices, Patient/Family teaching. Required Professional Knowledge and Skills: Isolation Precautions, Radiation Safety, Use of Rapid Response/Code teams.
