The Engineering Science Division (ESD) Of Applied Research Associates, Inc. (ARA) is seeking a Principal Program Manager 2 to manage the conduction of RDT&E projects focused on providing solutions to identified airbase technology capability gaps. This position is located at Tyndall Air Force Base and is contingent upon award of the contract.
As a Principal Program Manager 2, you will be responsible for planning, designing, executing, analyzing, and reporting RDT&E and technical activities focused on innovating protective designs and concepts using state-of-the-art materials. You will also recommend potential solutions crucial to ensuring the survivability of personnel, infrastructure, and high-value assets against a variety of threats.
Required Experience and Skills:
- Previous experience preparing and reviewing research proposals, research plans, and test plans.
- Experience writing and reviewing complex scientific and/or engineering technical papers.
- Extensive experience in blast and infrastructure protection research.
- Previous experience working with/on DoD installations.
- Experience leading a professional team.
- Background in unmanned systems, autonomous systems, sensor/payload integration, and Air Force Civil Engineering.
Required Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited university with a PhD or equivalent in the field of science or engineering relevant to CE M&P or airbase technologies and at least 15 years of RDT&E experience since graduation.
- Secret DoD Security Clearance.
For this position, travel is required ~20% of the time.
