About the Role
Step into the vital role of After Hours Nurse Manager, where your clinical expertise will support Nurse Unit Managers and Nursing Leads in delivering exceptional patient care. In this position, you will oversee staffing methodologies, recruitment, and human resource management while ensuring efficient patient flow and resource allocation. Your leadership will play a crucial role in maintaining accreditation and risk management processes, contributing to a safe and positive work culture that prioritises outstanding patient outcomes.
As the After Hours Nurse Manager, you will accept accountability for nursing management practices within your designated span of control, addressing any inconsistencies between practice and policy. You will provide after-hours oversight across a rotating 7-day roster, managing staff allocation and operational aspects of patient care. About You
We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Registered Nurse to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess:
- Registration or eligibility with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and a current practising certificate.
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to communicate effectively and resolve conflicts while promoting a positive workplace environment.
- A minimum of 3 years’ post-registration experience in nursing/midwifery, demonstrating competence in relevant practices and management roles.
- Knowledge of healthcare legislation, quality improvement systems, and contemporary health issues, along with a willingness to obtain a Certificate in Advanced Life Support 1 (ALS1).
