What will I do if hired?
In this position, you will serve as a regional project reviewer, technical advisor, and a Section Chief with work focused on non-disaster FEMA grant programs (such as the High Hazard Dams Program, various Preparedness programs, Building Resilient Infrastructure and Communities Program, and Pre-Disaster Mitigation Program).
Typical assignments include:
- Completing and documenting grant project environmental and historic preservation compliance reviews.
- Providing environmental planning and historic preservation policy and project compliance technical assistance to FEMA program stakeholders.
- Managing compliance processes for complex projects or program initiatives with short- and long-term objectives and facilitating creative compliance solutions with diverse stakeholders.
- Reviewing, drafting, or finalizing project impact assessments standard operating procedures, policy, guidance, or tools; especially those related to streamlining environmental and historic preservation compliance reviews.
- Supervising a team of interdisciplinary technical specialists and managing Section workload.
