Physical Requirements:
The physical requirements of this position include regularly sitting at a computer workstation for extended periods of time and performing tasks with repetitive motions (such as typing); occasionally standing or walking with objects weighing up to 10 lbs.; and occasional job-related travel.
Shift:
Monday through Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm. This is a remote position.
Job Summary:
The goal of the Payer Integrity Clinical Analyst is to ensure accurate reimbursement for clinical services performed through resolution of denied claims for UKHC to retain appropriate reimbursement via the appeals process. This is a remote position.
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities:
The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge and experience in third party payer denials and completing denial appeals; a proficient understanding of the Revenue Cycle process and managed care contracts; strong analytical, critical-thinking, problem-solving, time management, follow-through, and planning and organizational skills; the ability to multi-task with a high regard for confidentiality, accuracy, and attention to detail; excellent communication skills, both written and verbal; experience with and knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically the applications Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel; in-depth HIPAA knowledge and medical, financial, and contractual terminology; proficient knowledge of medical coding (ICD-10, HCPCS, CPT); the ability to meet goals in a fast-paced setting without sacrificing quality or accuracy; and an individual who provides exceptional customer service.
Does this position have supervisory responsibilities? No.
Preferred Education/Experience:
Associate degree in Nursing and at least three full years of related healthcare employment experience.
