Description of Program
The Lee Health Cancer Institute is recruiting a reconstructive plastic surgeon to partner with our breast surgeons as we continue to grow! The breast program is fully accredited by the American College of Surgeons National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers (NAPBC). The multidisciplinary breast cancer treatment team, which includes medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, breast radiologists, advanced practice providers, pathologists, genetic counselors, and nurse navigators, provides personalized, coordinated patient care. The integrated oncology program conducts multiple weekly disease-specific tumor boards and has a robust clinical research program. The treatment team is complemented by a wide range of supportive services, ensuring holistic care that addresses the needs of our breast cancer patients and their families.
The Lee Health Cancer Institute, a 100,000-square-foot state-of-the-art outpatient facility, is a pioneer in providing comprehensive cancer care. With a focus on medical oncology, surgical oncology, radiation oncology, and palliative care services for all types of cancer (5,300 analytic cases/year), we stand out with our 43-chair chemotherapy infusion center, advanced imaging, specialty lab services, nurse navigators, genetic counselors, social workers, dietitians, cancer rehabilitation, and financial counseling. The Gulf Coast Medical Center houses the 72-bed oncology hospital.
Qualifications
We are seeking a candidate with the right qualifications to join our team. The ideal candidate will have graduated from an accredited school of medicine (allopathic/osteopathic), completed an accredited general surgery residency program, and finished an ACGME accredited plastic surgery program with special focus on oncology reconstruction.
Successful candidates will play a crucial role as critical multidisciplinary team members in evaluating, managing, and treating our patients.
