Job Description:
We are looking for a Speech-Language Pathologist who will provide speech-language therapy services using a holistic and interdisciplinary model. Case load and billing hours are smaller than most! This position invites a unique opportunity to collaborate and co-treat with other disciplines across some, or all of our programs, which include: our Children’s Program-Breaking Boundaries (ages 4-15), and our Adult Transitions Program-Living With Purpose (ages 18+).

Roles & Responsibilities:
- Implement speech therapy services to individuals with developmental and intellectual differences from early childhood through adulthood (SLP only).
- Participate and collaborate with our clinical teams (occupational therapists, behavior therapists, licensed professional counselors) in the development of the individualized comprehensive plan for the children and adults we serve.
- Provide education to families, caregivers, and other members of the team on phases and integration of speech and language therapy within each environment.
- Complete, maintain and submit accurate and relevant clinical documentation regarding patient evaluation and attainment of goals to maintain service eligibility.
- Connect with surrounding districts, pediatricians and expand connections to recruit families for program growth.
- Participate in bi-monthly speech program meetings to discuss cases, therapeutic processes, evidence-based practices, and collaboration across departments.
- Adhere to ASHA’s Code of Ethics for Speech-Language Pathologists across therapeutic activities.
- Complete administrative responsibilities related to SLP role (scheduling sessions, communicating cancellations, reporting information to teams) for timely case management.
- Help run any individual, group activities, and programs to support the mission of holistic programming with the clinical speech team.
- Complete all operational and clinical speech processes (including vacation requests, remote requests, etc. from the speech team).
- Maintain a standard productivity level of number of sessions per hours worked, as set by the Speech Therapy department with attempts to fill canceled sessions as able.
- Supervise Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLP-A) as needed, to mentor and guide.
- Develop a plan of care related to language, articulation, voice, fluency, and swallow skills, and regularly re-evaluate clients’ progress and revise the plan of care as necessary.
- Maintain communication with administrative team on client status, documentation, and plans.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Normal routine levels of activity related to bending, carrying, climbing, hearing, reaching, sitting, standing, vision and walking, and may also involve above-average levels of activity at times that cannot always be anticipated due to the ability to meet the needs of the clients.
Qualifications:
- Must have a master’s degree and Certificate of Clinical Confidence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP), or a certificate for Speech-Language Pathology Assistants.
- At least two years working as an SLP with children and/or adults with developmental differences in clinic, school, or in-home settings preferred.
- Experience in use of AAC devices and behavioral health highly preferred.
- Reliable transportation, and a valid driver’s license with willingness to travel to client homes.
- Flexibility working in-clinic, client homes, via teletherapy, and in community-based settings with clients.
- Willingness and ability to perform the physical demands of this position in order to keep our participants safe is required.
