At NorthBay Health, the Ultrasonographer coordinates the daily patient schedule for U/S, performs U/S studies, and ensures correct processing and handling. They also assist in other areas of radiology such as the front desk and reception, ensure proper equipment maintenance and cleanliness, assist clerical staff when possible, attend seminars and in-services, take call and standby as needed, and promote a cooperative and positive relationship with physicians and other hospital staff/departments.
Education: Graduate from an approved ultrasound course.
Licensure: RDMS or ARRT (Sonography) eligible. Must be registered within 12 months of hire. AHA or equivalent BLS certification.
Experience: Minimum two years of hospital experience.
Skills: Must demonstrate and maintain current knowledge and skills in providing appropriate care for patients in the following age groups: Geriatric, Adult, Young Adult, Pediatric, and Neonatal.
Interpersonal Skills: Demonstrates the NorthBay Way, which consists of Caring, Communication, Collaboration, and Competence.
Compensation:
- Hourly Salary Range Min $63.04 - Max $76.59 (Offered hourly rate based on years of experience)
- Per Diem Differential 10% of the base rate
- PM Shift Differential $5.58 additional per hour
- NOC Shift Differential $8.75 additional per hour
- Weekend Shift Differential $1.40 additional per hour
