Position Summary:
Under the guidance of the Chief Nursing Officer, the Professional Development Coordinator (PDC)/ Employee Health Nurse will identify, create, and coordinate opportunities in departmental education to build competencies related to clinical delivery, programming, communication, and patient satisfaction. The PDC will collaborate with all facility leadership in the development of an Educational Needs Assessment to be completed on an initial and annual basis. This position will utilize Nobis Rehabilitation Partners Compliance and Quality data to aid in the development of additional training for all staff within the organization. Under the guidance of the Chief Nursing Officer, the PDC coordinates and maintains Employee Health files and Employee Health testing results beginning upon hire and annually thereafter. While maintaining full confidentiality, this position will provide reporting metrics to ensure all required elements of the Employee Health file are completed upon hire and subsequently annually thereafter. Collaborates with both the Director of Quality and Chief Nursing Officer to ensure all required elements of the Employee Health file are completed upon hire and at General Orientation.
Pay: Rate of pay is based on years of experience and qualifications.
Minimum Requirements:
- Unencumbered State License – Registered Nurse
- Bachelors Degree in Nursing
- 2-5 years experience in organizational, clinical and quality education
Desired Experience:- Prior organizational educator
- Clinical Nurse experience, i.e., Supervisor, Certified Rehabilitation Registered Nurse
Knowledge, Skills and Ability Requirements:- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational, time management and prioritization skills.
- Strong skillset re: PowerPoint, audio visual, speaking in public
- Detail-oriented, able to meet strict time frames
