Epic Travel Staffing is hiring a Travel RN – PICU – Level 3
Shift: Straight Nights or Rotating D/N, 12×3, 36 hrs/week
Length: 13 weeks
Weekend Requirement: Every other Saturday and Sunday, day or night.
Requirements:
- CO license
- 2+ years’ experience as a staff RN in a comparable PICU
- 1 year of travel experience in teaching facility PICUs (or increased staff experience in lieu of travel experience)
- Experience caring for patients from birth to 21 years with various diagnoses, including respiratory conditions requiring multiple therapies (nasal cannula, Trilogy BiPAP/CPAP, all ventilator modalities)
- Experience with chronic childhood diseases, sepsis, TBI, DKA, seizure disorders, oncology diagnoses, metabolic disorders, NAT
- Experience with surgical patients including neurosurgery, ENT, orthopedics, colorectal, and general surgery
- BSN
- BLS, PALS
- ACLS preferred
Others:
- Will consider hiring a new traveler
- Familiarity with equipment such as Trilogy & Drager ventilators, Cerelink ICP monitors, Medfusion syringe pumps, and Baxter large volume IV pumps
- Float Requirement: As needed
- Eligible to float to all inpatient care areas, including critical and acute care units (not to ED, OR, or inpatient Psych)
- Seasonal Influenza Vaccination Policy: Medical and religious exemption requests are allowed for the 2024-2025 season
