Job Overview
To provide clinical assessment and treatment services to clients with a variety of mental health issues. Works collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team to provide optimal, quality services to clients. Responsible for completion of client medical records, in compliance with regulatory standards. Develops discharge plans and linkages aimed to encourage functioning within the community.
Qualifications
Work requires the knowledge of theories, principles, and concepts normally acquired through completion of a Doctoral degree in Psychology or Social Work and three to five years of previous work-related experience plus three to six months of on-the-job training and orientation. Must demonstrate sound clinical judgment. Bi-lingual (Spanish/English) preferred. PhD or PsyD license required commensurate to degree or post-doctoral permit by the state of New Jersey. Work requires the analytical ability to collect information from diverse sources, apply professional principles in performing various analyses, and summarize the information and data in order to solve problems. Work requires the ability to prepare detailed assessments of patient referrals, counseling individuals, groups, or family members, or perform other duties requiring a comparable level of communication skill.
