We have a fantastic opportunity at our Alice Ross-King Care Centre facility at the Air Force Memorial Estate in Bull Creek for an out-of-the-box and forward-thinking Occupational Therapy Assistant! As an Occupational Therapy Assistant with RAAFA, you will be understanding the needs and issues of our residents and deliver exceptional care in the way of implementing therapy programs including group and individual activities. You will also be required to supervise volunteers who are assisting with therapy programs, complete documentation and reporting in relation to this role and communicate with Allied Health and Clinical Teams on the outcome of programs for our residents.
This is a part-time role with requirements to work Mondays and Tuesdays.

The role and you:
- Assist in the implementation of therapy programs including group and individual activities.
- Assist in assessing resident's needs and preferences and help develop appropriate programs in relation to the individual.
- Supervise volunteers who are assisting with the program.
- Complete documentation and reporting in relation to the role.
- Communicate with Allied Health and Clinical teams on the outcome of programs for the residents.
About the Facility:
Set on 11 hectares of land in Bull Creek, the Alice Ross-King Care Centre is a 102-bed Residential Care Centre located on the banks of Lake Howard at RAAFA's Air Force Memorial Estate. The contemporary two-storey care centre was created to maximise natural lighting within the centre and capitalise on its serene lakeside location. What you need to do:
- Completed Cert III in Allied Health or equivalent qualification;
- Experience working in the Aged Care Industry;
- Enjoy building positive relationships with residents, their families, and staff;
- Satisfactory National Police Certificate (on commencement of employment to be within six months from date of issue) or willing to obtain one;
- Be up to date with your COVID-19 and flu vaccinations;
