HOW YOU’LL MAKE AN IMPACT
- Provide support with Environmental, Health, Safety and Sustainability programs to ensure regulatory compliance and continuously improve plant performance.
- Work with Director of HR/EHS and plant leadership to schedule and prepare various internal Health, Safety and Environment meetings, including preparing reports and presentations.
- Conduct EHS Assessments (PPE, Hazard/Risk for new equipment/process, Safety Walks).
- Review and propose updates and/or changes to current Environmental, Health & Safety programs.
- Assist support departments with supplying environmental, social, governance (ESG) information to customers.
- Assist with maintenance of ISO14001 environmental management system.
- Develop working knowledge of local, state, and federal environmental, health and safety regulations.
- Work with plant team members to drive a culture of safety.
- Other duties as assigned by Director of HR/HSE to support HR/HSE Department.
YOUR KEY ATTRIBUTES
- Must be at least a junior in a four-year degree program with a focus of Environmental and Sustainability, Health and Safety, or a related major.
- Strong working knowledge of computer applications required (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) with the ability to quickly learn platforms used at the plant (health and safety system, ERP, learning management system, etc.).
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
- You are knowledgeable in the following areas:
- Excellent typing/data-entry skills.
- Must be comfortable using a computer.
- Microsoft Office Suite (or Office 365).
- SharePoint.
- Filing, scanning, copying, faxing.
- You are stoked by challenges, pushing to create something new – never settling simply for “the way it’s always been done.”
- You find new and effective ways to streamline processes for max efficiency.
- You’re organized, highly efficient and know how to develop specific goals and prioritize with minimal supervision.
