St. Josephs Behavioral Health Center is a licensed not-for-profit facility providing comprehensive behavioral health services for psychiatric and chemical dependency disorders. We offer a 35-bed inpatient hospital day treatment and outpatient services. Our specially trained staff of board certified psychiatrists physicians and licensed professionals are committed to providing compassionate quality care and creating an atmosphere that fosters communication trust and personal growth.
ResponsibilitiesCoordinates and monitors the social and psychotherapeutic services rendered to patients and their families. Performs psychosocial assessments, prepares after-care plans and provides group therapy as assigned by the program manager. Assists in program development, implementation and monitoring. Acts as mentor to case manager group therapist and to social services' interns/ trainees. This position requires providing service to a one or more age populations including a child, adolescent/teen, adult and geriatric patient population in a manner that demonstrates an understanding of the functional/developmental age of the individual served. The CMIII will demonstrate competence with dialectical behavioral therapy. This position requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the Mission of the Organization. It is expected that the employee demonstrate behavior consistent with the Core Values. The employee shall support the Organization's strategic plan and the goals and direction of the Performance Improvement Plan (PIP).
- Assures that the rights of the patient/family are respected and maintained.
- Assesses the physical, psycho-social, cultural, functional, high risk and needs of the patient and family
- Provides for the education of the patient/family.
- Implements and evaluates initial psychiatric and chemical dependency assessments.

- Identifies and defines major functions of the department/unit
- Effectively develops, implements and evaluates standards of care and/or service.
- Demonstrates the ability to safely and competently perform tasks and procedures according to the behavioral health center policy and procedure and current nursing practice standards including but not limited to:
8.1 Maintain current CPR-BLS
8.2 Maintains competencies specific to department
8.3 Demonstrates the knowledge and techniques to manage assaultive behavior. Obtains certification by attending class offered by the Behavioral Health Center upon hire with annual renewal thereafter - Demonstrates the ability to safely and competently use equipment in the delivery of patient care.

QualificationsExperience:
- One (1) or more years' of experience in an Inpatient Psychiatric Hospital preferred.
Education:
- Master's Degree in Mental Health required and registered intern with BBSE or eligible
Licensure:
- Registered intern with BBSE or Eligible
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
