The Administrative Nurse Manager of the PACU/Surgery Center is responsible for the overall operations of these departments and ensures that a high level of patient care is maintained at all times. They assist the Clinical Director of Nursing in accomplishing departmental goals and objectives.
The Montefiore Administrative Nurse Manager of the PACU/Surgery Center maintains standards of the practice for nursing as defined by the American Nurses’ Association Code of Ethics, Nursing Scope and Standards of Practice and Nursing’s Social Policy Statement.
The Administrative Nurse Manager of the PACU/Surgery Center actualizes the vision, mission, values, balanced scorecard and performance measures for Montefiore Medical Center.
The Administrative Nurse Manager of the PACU/Surgery Center participates in performance improvement/research activities; maintains professional practice standards and clinical expertise; and demonstrates leadership skills. The Administrative Nurse Manager of the PACU/Surgery Center demonstrates core and unit specific competencies based on the patient population served.
SCHEDULE: 7 AM-3:30 PM, Monday-Friday.
EDUCATION, TRAINING & EXPERIENCE:
- New York State Registered Professional License and current registration or valid permit to practice in New York State.
- Master’s degree from an accredited program required or a projected graduation date within three years of position acceptance.
- M.S.N. preferred.
- Minimum of five years management experience or progressive leadership experience.
- Minimum of three years of PACU/ASU experience.
- Membership in ASPAN.
- BLS certification.
