ACC Southlands is a growing school community located in the beautiful city of Albany, with a significant number of students in our distance education cohort from across Western Australia. There are approximately 270 students from Kindergarten to Year 12 on-campus with a further 640 students from Pre-primary to Year 12 in our Distance Education cohort. Although we are growing rapidly, we are focused on sustainably stewarding God’s creation and we have a heart that all students will be well known, well loved, and well taught.
Applications are sought from suitably qualified and experienced teachers with a passion for supporting students with diverse needs. This role is a full-time position providing distance education small group initiatives for students with learning needs, working with teachers and the Learning Support team to ensure students are well supported, completing all appropriate administration, and collaborating with parents to help each student find their success.
The position involves working with children. The appointment of successful applicants will be subject to satisfactory employment screening for identity, rights to work in Australia, and child protection in accordance with CEM policy.
Requirements
About you
- Be able to display the capacity to improve student learning and wellbeing outcomes.
- Be able to demonstrate excellent teaching as described by the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers.
- Be able to receive feedback on your teaching and implement changes.
- Be able to effectively plan for, collect and analyse educational data, then devise appropriate strategies and interventions to improve student outcomes.
- Have an active Christian faith, suitable tertiary qualifications and TRBWA accreditation (or be eligible).
- Work within a school leadership that has a clear Christian vision and a strong Christian culture.
