Cornerstone Academy is seeking gracious and engaging Latin teachers. This is a full-time or part-time position. Positions available for middle and high school levels.
Requirements
- Have at least a 4-year college degree (preferably in Latin or classical languages).
- Display a love for learning and a passion to cultivate that love in their students.
- Be willing to learn and implement the classical methodology of teaching.
- Agree with and support the school’s statement of faith, attend and be in good standing with a Christian church, and live a life of discipleship under the Lordship of Jesus Christ.
- Demonstrate the ability to communicate well with parents.
The ideal candidate will:
- Have 1+ years of experience teaching.
- Have a degree in Latin or comparable subject.
- Demonstrate an understanding of and skill in implementing classical curriculum and pedagogy, and seek to grow in his/her understanding of this tradition in order to re-imagine and embody the richest practices of Christian, liberal arts education.
- Be capable of instilling in students the love of learning.
Salary will be commensurate with education and experience.
