Surgical Technician - Operating Room - Kings Hwy
This job assists in procedures competently and professionally, ensures appropriate handling and maintenance of equipment and supplies, and ensures availability of equipment and supplies for surgical procedures. Scrubs for surgical procedures and performs other duties as assigned by the registered nurse (RN).

Preferred Education
Required - High school diploma or equivalent and graduate from an accepted course in surgical technology certification.
Preferred Work Experience
Required - None.
Preferred - 1 year of experience in a similar medical setting. Basic analytical experience.
Preferred Certifications
Required - Certification in Surgical Technology.
Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Heart Association.
Minimum Education
Required - Graduation from an accredited surgical technologist program or military program (Online surgical tech programs not accepted) OR 5 years of Surgical Technologist Experience.
Minimum Work Experience
Required - None.
Preferred - 1 year of experience in a similar medical setting.
Minimum Certifications
Required - Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Heart Association.
Preferred - Certification in surgical technology.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities (KSAs)
- Good organizational skills.
- Good time management skills and ability to be self-directed.
- Ability to demonstrate good judgement.
Job Duties
- Performs direct patient care duties, including assisting physicians during procedures.
- Assists in the day-to-day operations of the department.
- Maintains required clinical knowledge, technical skills, equipment, training, and credentials.
- Adapts to change in a positive constructive manner.
- Ensures cleanliness and disinfection of endoscopes while maintaining quality control measures.
- Performs other related duties as required.
