Psycho-Oncology Clinician-Researcher Faculty Position at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center

Department and Position: The Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences currently has over 45 full-time faculty with wide interests in psycho-oncology clinical care, teaching, and research. This faculty position will concentrate on maintaining an independent program of research focusing on aspects of psycho-oncology clinical care. Applicants with a track record of extramural funding are preferred.
Research Areas: Examples of research areas could include, but are not limited to, psychotherapy research in psycho-oncology, neuropsychological impacts of cancer treatments, digital delivery of behavioral interventions, symptom management, post-treatment psychosocial adaptation/survivorship, psychopharmacology clinical trials, pediatric psycho-oncology, etc.
Clinical Responsibilities: There would be a lesser portion of time dedicated to providing clinical psycho-oncology outpatient care with a mix of in-person and telehealth visits. The position will work with cancer patients with a variety of cancer diagnoses and all cancer stages.
Candidate Requirements: The ideal candidate should have clinical experience and appropriate training in working with adult or pediatric cancer patients and their families. This search is open to potential candidates with a Ph.D., Psy.D., MD, and DO at all levels of career experience and appointments will be made at an academic level commensurate with the appointee’s experience.
- Applicants must possess a doctorate degree such as Doctor in Philosophy (PhD), Doctor of Medicine (MD), Osteopathy (DO) or equivalent.
- Applicants must possess a full and unrestricted license to practice clinically in the State of New York (or must be licensed in another jurisdiction and be eligible for licensure in New York and New Jersey).
- Eligible for appointment at an academic rank ranging from Assistant Professor to Professor.

Salary Range: Salary: $95,000-$330,000
Compensation is based on multiple variables. This range represents annual salary only and does not include supplemental performance-based pay or any one-time payments that eligible candidates may be offered at the time of hire.
