Position Summary:
This role will lead all aspects of program management; developing and implementing strategic, large and/or multi-phased programs from original concept through final implementation, creating detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, forecast and actual budget reports, resource plans and executive status reports. It requires highly disciplined execution and coordination between cross functional departments and several external vendors. The Senior Program Manager will be accountable for on-time, on-budget, and quality delivery of all program elements.
The Senior Program Manager will play a key role in establishing and creating best practices, standards, procedures, and quality metrics for assessing progress of strategic programs. They will also play a role in promoting the program management vision throughout the organization and serve as a source for project management leadership and expertise.
Essential Functions:
Develop and implement the overall program management strategy.
Champion best practices and standards for Project management across the organization and the different initiatives.
Program Activities:
Coordinate and manage program activities across the different SONIFI organizations and teams including R&D, Engineering, Product, Customer Success, and Operations.
Identify milestones to large multi-phase programs, construct schedules by leveraging Project Managers, program goals and stakeholder visions.
Program Performance:
Monitor program activities, identify, manage and foster issue resolutions and risks management.
Proactively manage risks, issues and blockers, keeping schedule and milestones up-to-date and aligned with Stakeholders.
Leverage data and metrics to make educated decisions and changes to processes in place.
Reporting:
Collect, organize, and distribute Program updates to the teams and Stakeholders including the Executive team.
Know How:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or Business Administration and 7 years of experience with strategic planning or program management in a high growth dynamic rapidly changing business or equivalent required
Experience in Agile methodology in a large-scale product development organization.
Experience in change management and process transformation.
C-level communication skills required.
Cross functional experience, particularly with global business units is preferred.
Deep experience managing large strategic complex cross functional programs is preferred.
Sufficient technical knowledge and experience to be able to communicate effectively with the multiple organizations within the company and to check/review their plans and progress.
Must be a self-starter and able to manage the program with minimal supervision.
Strong interpersonal leadership skills and ability to commit, influence, motivate and successfully manage teams while working in a matrix / dotted line management structure, teams are not direct reports. Must be able to develop trusting, lasting relationships with team members across the company, have ability to collaborate, motivate, and lead cross functional teams.
Conflict management skills including the ability to work with and resolve conflicting needs and requirements.
Ability to analyze data and effectively report problems through written and/or graphical formats.
Excellent decision-making skills and business judgment and must be professional, honest, and concise.
Strong organization skills, ability to prioritize in the face of multiple project demands focus on critical details.
