An opportunity exists for a CT Technologist I at Penn State Health - Milton S. Hershey Medical Center in Hershey, Pennsylvania. They will be responsible for performing a variety of standardized imaging procedures, setting up and adjusting related equipment and devices, and maintaining related records under the direction of the Senior Imaging Staff.
JOB SUMMARY:
- Performs standardized imaging procedures ensuring accurate imaging as per defined protocols or under the direction of the radiologist/physician.
- Ensures proper operation of the equipment safely while maintaining regulatory standards during all procedures.
- Performs patient imaging by interacting with the patient using professionalism, courtesy, and safety guidelines.
- Maintains the area, supplies, and equipment in a neat, orderly, and prepared manner; performs room and equipment disinfection procedures.
- Responsible for daily equipment calibration; reports equipment malfunctions and the need for adjustments and/or repair of equipment.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Graduate of American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Radiography Program or Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board Program (NMTCB)(CT).
- Must pass the radiography ARRT registry within six (6) months of employment.
- Must pass the CT ARRT registry within two (2) years of employment.
- Must pass NMTCB(CT) registry within six (6) months of employment.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATION(S):
CT experience preferred.
