Shift: Nights, 7p-7a, 48 hrs/wk, 8 weeks
Description:
- Assesses/reassesses patients of all ages and applies the nursing process as appropriate.
- Provides care in emergent and non-emergent situations, including:
- Airway Management
- Pain Management
- Cardiac Monitoring
- Invasive Monitoring
- Specialized IV Drips/titration
- Sedation
- Assists with specialized procedures (e.g., Temp Pacemakers, Cardioversion, Defibrillation, chest tubes, care of fractures, wound repair).
- Manages Code Blue situations.
- Performs IV Therapy and Medication Administration.
- Conducts ECG Strip Analysis and Interpretation.
- Provides discharge follow-up education and care.
- Maintains accurate nursing documentation.
- Treats patients and families with respect and dignity.
- Interacts professionally with patients and families, involving them in care plans.
- Supervises other healthcare staff involved in patient care.
- Participates in performance improvement activities.
- Maintains operation of patient care equipment and ensures adequate stock of supplies.
- Demonstrates flexibility and organization under stress.
- Adheres to medical center policies regarding infection control and safety.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Education and Licensure:
- Associate’s degree in nursing required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- RN license required.
- CPR, BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, EKG, TNCC, PALS certifications required.
- 2 years of experience required; 5 years preferred.
Guaranteed Hours: 48.00
