By utilizing technology, we connect our providers and care team with school nurses to diagnose and treat students and staff for both acute illness and well care.
We are on the hunt for sharp and innovative Nurse Practitioners, PNP-FNP or Physician Assistants who share our core values: Passion, Humility, Adaptability, Nurture, and Experience, and are certified to work in pediatrics to join our SchoolMed Team as a PRN provider to help serve our districts during the school year and summer months at our Sports Participation clinics and wellness fairs.
In this position, you will work collaboratively with the SchoolMed care team and district staff to render age-appropriate care. You will practice under established protocols and policies and assume independent responsibilities in the assessment, diagnosis, and initiation of treatment. Your medical decision-making and treatment capabilities are supplemented with the ability to order point of care testing and medications.
Job Type: PRN
Well Child Screening Events: hours vary but also include evenings and weekends.

- You are a bilingual Spanish/English speaker.
- You live in the Fort Worth, TX area.
- You are willing to travel (within TX). More details to come during interviews.
- You are amenable to a PRN position to participate in Wellness events (January-May, with potential to extend).
- You are able to see patients of all ages (FNP, PA with peds & adult experience, Family Physician, Med/Peds).
- You have several years of hands-on clinical care experience with children and adolescents.
- You are experienced in and prefer paced work (ED, Urgent Care).
- You have dual licensure to practice in Texas and Florida.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Assessment, diagnosis, and initiation of treatment for partner school district students and/or staff.
- Accurately and completely document in EMR.
- Timely submission of required documents for reportable diseases or concerns with child endangerment or welfare.
- Participate and provide services at Sports Physical Clinics and Health Fairs.
- Other duties and needed certifications as assigned.
Needs: 3-5 PRN Nurse Practitioners OR Physician Assistants
Requirements
- Knowledge of pediatric assessment and treatment; 2 years’ experience as a Nurse Practitioner (PNP, FNP) or Physician Assistant required.
- Current, valid, unencumbered license as a registered nurse (RN) from the Texas Board of Nursing and ability to obtain licensure in other states (For NP’s only).
- Active Certification by national certifying bodies recognized by the Texas Board of Nursing as a Nurse Practitioner (PNP-BC / FNP-BC) or NCCPA.
- Fluent in both English and Spanish preferred but not required.
- Customer service focus.
- Willingness to travel both regionally and as needed both in and out of state preferred but not required.
