OFFICE PROFILE: The Office of the Registrar originates and maintains official records of student files and transcripts, verifies eligibility
of students for athletics, registration, graduation, and state authorization.
ROLE: Responsible for all aspects of registration for certificate, post-baccalaureate and graduate programs and managing
Degree Works, the degree audit system. All activities of this position are to contribute to the fulfillment of the
mission and vision of Concordia University Irvine.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to accomplish each of the below duties satisfactorily:
Registration
- Manage all aspects of certificate, post-baccalaureate and graduate student records including registration, withdrawals, graduation, student program changes, and academic standing.
- Build and maintain post-baccalaureate and graduate course sections in Banner.
- Responsible for running end of term processing for winter term graduate programs.
- Manage the development of certificate, post-baccalaureate and graduate student enrollment forms and direct the distribution of forms to other departments.
- Work with the program directors, advisors and financial aid counselors on the reporting and tracking of students who are conditionally accepted to make sure they meet the requirement before the deadline.
- Manage online registration rules in Banner.
- Direct the creation of certificate, post-baccalaureate and graduate academic calendars in coordination with the deans and program directors.
- Assist with other registration tasks as mutually agreed upon.
- Assist with other department tasks as mutually agreed upon, including Commencement Ceremonies.
- Other duties may be assigned.
Degree Works
- Creates and maintains accurate degree requirements for Degree Works in Scribe, configurations in Controller, and processes in Transit.
- Collaborates with the Information Technology department on system upgrades.
- Responsible for the training of faculty, staff and students in product functionality and managing appropriate access.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
A bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university; or one or two years related experience and/or training;
or equivalent combination of education and experience. Advanced knowledge of Excel.
