The Division of Critical Care Medicine within the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health is recruiting a Pediatric Cardiac Critical Care Physician to join our current team of Cardiac Intensivists as we plan for a new dedicated CICU. We are looking for candidates with additional training in cardiology and/or cardiac critical care, and a track record of clinical excellence and academic contributions.
The Division of Pediatric Critical Care Medicine is a cohesive group of individuals with diverse clinical and academic interests, including cardiac and neurocritical care, transport medicine, extracorporeal support, simulation education, quality improvement, and clinical and translational research on a wide range of topics. Division members share a common vision to deliver state-of-the-art, comprehensive medical care in a collaborative and coordinated manner to all critically ill children admitted to American Family Children's Hospital.

Responsibilities:
For appointments hired on the Clinical Health Sciences (CHS) Track:
Participate in administrative and committee work to support the clinical and scholarly missions of UW Health and the School of Medicine and Public Health. An essential part of these duties will be working in a collegial relationship with other faculty members.
Teach to a variety of learners, including medical students, residents, and fellows. Teaching can occur within the classroom, small groups, and lectures, as well as in the delivery of clinical care.
Provide clinical coverage of general pediatric critical care patients and/or cardiac critical care patients depending on training and experience.
For appointments hired on the Clinician-Teacher (CT) Track:
Provide clinical coverage of general pediatric critical care patients and/or cardiac critical care patients depending on training and experience
Teach to a variety of learners, including medical students, residents, and fellows. Teaching can occur within the classroom, small groups, and lectures, as well as in the delivery of clinical care
