We are seeking an enthusiastic, experienced Perioperative Scrub/Scout Registered Nurse to join our Clinical Education team. The role focuses on providing perioperative scrub/scout nursing staff with the knowledge, skills and behaviours to deliver advanced assessment and management of patients in the Perioperative Department. The role also supports nursing staff undertaking study in Cabrini's Transition to Specialty Practice program, Graduate Nurse and Post-Graduate Perioperative programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Work alongside the established Perioperative Clinical Education Team to develop, facilitate, and assess Cabrini’s perioperative education.
- Ensure that educational resources are aligned with current evidence-based practices, adhering to Cabrini's guidelines, protocols, and policies.
- Moderate, update, and evaluate eLearning activities to maintain high standards of educational delivery.
- Maintain collaborative working relationships with Clinical Support Nurses to effectively deliver and assess the curriculum.
Key Capabilities
- Current unrestricted registration as a Registered Nurse with NMBA
- Postgraduate qualification in Perioperative Nursing
- Postgraduate qualification in Clinical Education (or working towards)
- Recent experience in an education role including the delivery and assessment of formal curriculum
- Experience in the facilitation of simulation and group learning
- Experience with eLearning technologies and/or learning management systems
- Ability to engage and maintain relationships with stakeholders
