They are the only 5-time magnet community hospital in the world and focus on bringing the science side and human side together to change the face of health care. They are one of the leading academic medical systems in GA, looking for a PACU Nurse to join their rock star team and hospital.
The Post Anesthesia Nurse is responsible for the delivery of safe patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The PACU RN provides direct patient care within the scope of practice. The PACU Nurse also directs and guides patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of professional nursing care in Surgery. The RN PACU is directly responsible and accountable for the care given to his/her patients in the area. The Post Anesthesia Care Nurse communicates with the physician about the changes in the patient’s clinical condition including results of the diagnostic studies and symptomatology. This Post Anesthesia Care RN is able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in the condition and/or response to treatment.
Qualifications:
- RN License in the State of GA
- Minimum of 2 years experience in an acute care PACU setting
- BLS, ACLS certifications upon or after hire
