Position Overview: As an Advanced Practice Nurse at Priority Group Services, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality mental health care to children and adolescents. Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, you will assess, diagnose, and provide therapeutic interventions to address the unique needs of each individual.
Responsibilities:
- Clinical Assessment and Diagnosis:
- Conduct thorough psychiatric assessments and formulate accurate diagnoses.
- Collaborate with team members to develop comprehensive treatment plans.
- Therapeutic Interventions:
- Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions to children and adolescents.
- Monitor and adjust treatment plans based on individual progress.
- Medication Management:
- Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications as needed.
- Monitor and evaluate medication effectiveness, adjusting dosages as necessary.
- Collaboration with Multidisciplinary Team:
- Work closely with psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, and other professionals to coordinate integrated care.
- Participate in team meetings and case conferences to discuss treatment strategies.
- Crisis Intervention:
- Participate in crisis intervention as needed.
- Collaborate with the team to develop and implement crisis prevention plans.
- Documentation:
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Provide written reports and updates to the team as required.
Qualifications:
- Current Advanced Practice Nurse license in the state of New Jersey.
- Certification as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner.
- Experience in child and adolescent psychiatry preferred.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and crisis intervention skills.
