Moorehouse Emergency Medicine Fellowship Program, located in Montgomery, Alabama, offers an exceptional opportunity for family physicians seeking advanced training in emergency medicine (EM). This fellowship program is working toward accreditation by the AAPS' American Academy of Emergency Physicians (AAEP). Graduates have the opportunity to pursue board certification in emergency medicine through ABPS (American Board of Physician Specialties), the recognized certifying organization of AAPS (American Association of Physician Specialists, Inc.). This intensive one-year training is to assist family physicians in obtaining the skills necessary to provide comprehensive EM services.
Opportunity Overview:- Opening starting in the summer of 2024
- Will assist with AL license
- Annual salary as a W2 employee
- Benefits including professional liability and health insurance
- Opportunity to stay on board and join Baptist Health, a faith-based, three-hospital system with the largest market share in Central Alabama, working at our Level II trauma center or community hospitals
- Accreditation with ABPS in process which allows you to sit for EM board certification
Requirements:- Completion of an ACGME or AOA approved family medicine residency program, with a letter of recommendation from the program director documenting training
- Eligibility for obtaining an Alabama medical license
- ABFP certification or eligibility
